Charl Schwartzel started the third round of The Barclays at 2-over par, good for a T61 spot on the leaderboard. After his first tee shot of round three, a fade which landed under a tree, it appeared that the former Masters champion’s fortunes would not improve much.
But then Schwartzel holed out his second shot for an eagle, which moved him to even-par. And as of this post, he’s at 2-under par for the tournament – moving up to T26, a whopping 35 spot jump from where he started.
After his hole out, while walking up the fairway, he joked to his playing partner Steve Stricker, “I’ll see you on the next tee.”
