For the first round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Charley Hoffman, a UNLV alum, honored the Las Vegas community by wearing some custom made golf shoes.
Hoffman’s Footjoys were emblazoned with Las Vegas Strong artwork.
Hoffman, who announced earlier this week that he would be donating all his earnings this week to local charities, posted an opening-round 3-under 68 at TPC Summerlin, highlighted by a hole-out birdie on the par-4 15th.
The 2017 U.S. Presidents Cup member is currently T13.
