Dustin Johnson posted a second-round 9-under 63 on Friday at Sheshan Golf Club and leads the WGC-HSBC Champions by one shot over Brooks Koepka.

Afterwards, DJ took questions from the press to discuss his tournament-tying low round in Shanghai. Towards the end of the Q and A, the media asked the reigning World No. 1 about being paired with good friend, and neighbor, Koepka.

Here’s a recap up of the Koepka-related questions and answers.

FRIENDS WITH BROOKS

QUESTION: Potentially playing with Brooks, as well, tomorrow. How much are you looking forward to that?

DUSTIN JOHNSON: Yeah, hopefully. It would be great. He’s one of my best buddies. It would be a lot of fun out there playing with him. (Ed. Note: They will play together, along with Justin Rose (T3).)

QUESTION: Just expanding on the question on Brooks, he spoke about your friendship with him. How has that relationship blossomed and how has it helped in your own games, as well?

JOHNSON: It’s good. We live right down the street from each other, so we hang out a bunch. It’s good, going to the gym, having somebody to work out with, pushing each other in the gym helps a lot.

You know, it’s funny, we don’t really play much golf, though, at home together. We go to the gym and we hang out but we don’t go to the golf course together. I think we played last Saturday; that was the first time we played in, I mean, I couldn’t tell you how long. All year, probably.

QUESTION: Did you beat him?

JOHNSON: Yeah, I think so.

QUESTION: Do you play practice rounds together?

JOHNSON: Yeah, we play practice rounds. But I’m saying at home. Neither one of us go to the golf course that much.
