The funniest non-human on Twitter with intimate knowledge of the 2016 U.S. Open is a long fairway bunker located in between the 3rd and 4th fairways at Oakmont Country Club.

The bunker is called the “Church Pews” because it resembles the look of a long line of bench style seating (like you would see in a church). It measures 100 x 40 yards, sits in between the 3rd and 4th holes at Oakmont and is nightmare fuel for players.

It has become so popular in the week leading up to this year’s 2nd major that someone decided to give it a twitter account (@churchpewbunker), and the results are hilarious.

Those are just some quick hitters found in the bunker’s timeline. Looking forward to seeing the live-tweeting once the tournament is underway.
