Watch Lee Westwood Ruthlessly Leave Interviewer Hanging on a High Five

Lee Westwood finished Round 1 with a 67 and then celebrated by leaving this Sky Sports anchor hanging on a high five making it the most cringe-worthy U.S. Open moment thus far.

This behavior is taking the “act like you’ve been there before” mantra a little bit too far. The victim of Westwood’s hanging is an anchor for Sky Sports, the dominant sports television brand in the United Kingdom.

Perhaps they have a history together? Or maybe Westwood doesn’t have time for tomfoolery, focused on winning his first major.

Either way, after multiple rain delays in the first round of the 2016 U.S. Open, Westwood returned Friday morning (over 24-hours after teeing off) and finished birdie-birdie.
