Quick Recap: Day Leads After 36 Holes

Day number two of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational is in the books and the day’s winner appears to be Firestone CC, as some of the world’s best golfers put up some very ugly numbers.

Jason Day is the leader at 4-under par. The 28 year-old Aussie shot a 1-under par 69, and sits 4-under for the tournament. Day, the world’s number one-ranked golfer is 1 up on David Lingmerth, who is at 3-under.

First round leader William McGirt was at 4-under heading into the 18th and final hole, but double bogeyed and dropped into a tie for third place at -2.

Adam Scott, Day’s playing partner, fired a 68 and sits at 1-under, only 3 shots behind Day. Scott’s solid day was aided by the his long bomb putt.

Jordan Spieth is also at 1-under for the tournament, after shooting 1-over 71.

Other notables: Justin Thomas (-1), Rickie Fowler (+1), Bubba Watson (+1), Dustin Johnson (+2), Phil Mickelson (+3), Justin Rose (+5), Jim Furyk (+6), Jason Dufner (+7), Shane Lowry (+8), and Patrick Reed (+9)
