Pat Perez Stumbled Across Jimmy Hoffa’s Body in U.S. Open Rough

Pat Perez is having one heck of a bounce-back season, following a year essentially on the injured reserve. The 41-year-old started the 2016-17 PGA Tour season ranked 333rd in the world, but following a win (OHL Classic), three top 5s, and six additional top-20s, Perez has rocketed up to No. 41.

In addition to being red-hot on the course, the former Arizona State star is just as hot on social media, specifically Instagram. Perez regularly posts slo-mo videos during practice rounds with some kind of classic track as the background.

Perez’s latest Instagram post satirizes the trending topic of the USGA’s tricked up “rough” at Erin Hills.

Perez writes (with tongue firmly in cheek): “Not sure what all this chatter is about the rough at #ErinHills for @USOpenGolf. Went looking for a ball earlier. Never found it, but did stumble across a courtesy car, billiards table, stocked vending machine, Jimmy Hoffa’s body, @MrTommyland’s old drum kit, the world’s largest wheel of cheese and a mariachi band—so there’s that.

Hope to make it through the week without losing H in there. If not, those mariachi better learn how to read greens. #PGATour #Golf #USOpen #USGA #ZFG”
